For so long, I thought strength meant carrying everything myself. I carried the grief. I carried the disappointment. I carried the loneliness. I carried the fear of becoming too much for others.
So I learned to bend beneath the weight instead of setting it down.
But burdens grow heavier when they are hidden.
What I once called strength was often survival.
Today I no longer measure my worth by how much pain I can carry.
