A rubber cupsole and encapsulated Nike Air keep the old-school basketball feel, low and grounded.
The cleverness is in the aging. Jordan designers studied original pairs boxed away for decades, then recreated dry-looking white leather, a cracked and faded black collar, and a sail midsole with the yellowed tone rubber develops over time. The detail people overlook is that the distressing tells a storage story, not a wear story. The mismatched box lid and vintage receipt carry that idea past the shoe itself.
